OMG I'M GETTING MARRIED

Today I am delighted to announce that Amber and Mikes wedding has been featured in the exclusive UK wedding blog  OMG I'M GETTING MARRIED.

Amber and Mike got married in Treviso, 40 minuets from Venice on a hot summers day last July.   Check out OMG I'M GETTING MARRIED UK WEDDING BLOG  'A Vintage Inspired Italian Wedding' to read all about their special day and to view the professional photos by Edoardo Agresti.

For now let me share with you my photos of my July Bride and my Groom with a View's very special day!

Audrey Hepburn a timeless beauty.

Audrey Hepburn remains one of the greatest style icons, Audrey's timeless, iconic style made her famous beyond the big screen,  her wardrobe both in and out of the spotlight still influences brides to this day.
Her Givenchy gowns have delighted admirers of fashion from the day she stepped out in them, it is with a happy heart to see photographs of the dress Audrey Hepburn wore to collect her Oscar for her roll in A Roman Holiday.

With detailed lace work, this dress is a work of art. Audrey had it commissioned as a replica of the dress she wore in the last scene of the movie.

From the day after she wore it to the Oscars until recently this stunning dress has been stored away in a box at the bottom of a family friends wardrobe!

The lace creation has been valued at £40,000 to £60,000, but if your heart is set on a Audrey Hepburn dress and your budget cannot stretch to £60,00 possably more when it goes under the hammer on the 29th November at Kerry Taylor Auctions London, use it for inspiration!

Just like my beautiful Bride Amber did when she chose Danbury by Enzoani and had a custom made belt using an original 1950's buckle bought in Hampton Court Antiques.

One day very soon I shall post the photos from Amber and Mikes wedding in Treviso!

A. A bride for whom it is important to be individual and slightly alternative. I feel our brides are empowered women who know what they want and have strong sense their identity. Obviously, they love fashion and glamour."

Weddings in Italy 2012

Villa Cimbrone in Ravello
You might not have set the date yet but are thinking of getting married in Italy in 2012, now is the time to start thinking location and venues!

Selecting the location for your wedding in Italy is harder than you think, with so many beautiful Villa, Castles, Farmhouses and Country estates to chose from, where does one start?
Il Borro, private estate in Tuscany
First you need to decide where in Italy you would like to focus your search. Can you see yourselves getting married in a coastal location or are you more country estates and rolling hills, maybe you like the idea of a city wedding or on a small island, a lake side wedding or in the middle of olive groves. Italy offers all of the above and much much more.

Once we have an idea of the location we build a portfolio of venues tailor made to your specifications, form venues that have Chapels on site; offer complete exclusivity; have sea views; located close to a village, town, city or airport to ones that are rustic; elegant; historic and hidden gems!

We have spent many years researching venues for weddings in Italy and have only selected ones which offer the very best services in every budget.

As we do not work on commission and have been told we are the only wedding planner in Italy who do not ask venues for commission or place mark ups on costs, we are not affiliated to any venue. This means we are free to show you venues which suit your needs and not for what they can offer us.

Also you pay the venue directly so you know exactly where you are putting your money!

We do not charge any extra for coming to meet you to view venues, as it is part of our service, as are any additional visits you may make before your wedding day.  All we ask is for you to cover our expenses on location which we pass by you first.

We are happy to spend as many days with you as necessary to assist you in finding the perfect venue, after all it is a key element to your destination wedding!

The average visit is a weekend and we have never failed yet in finding the right venue for a perfect wedding!

Whilst building a relationship is essential, we understand you might not be able to come to Italy and view venues, so we will happily work with you via remote.

S'mores...

As it is the week of Halloween and Guy Falwkes celebrations, I decided to share something sweet to kick off the week!  Not only a great idea for a wedding but also a fun thing to make on Guy Falwkes night as you huddle by the bonfire!

I have recently discovered S'mores, being Irish and spending most of my skiing holidays in Europe I had never been introduced to this yummy alpine winter treat. But now that I have, I am loving the idea of putting together S'mores kits and placing them in welcome basket inside guests rooms or having a buffet of S'mores for after dinner.

What are S'mores?

s'more is a nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada consisting of a roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker.

For a wedding in Italy, it is not so easy to put together the standard S'more kit. For a start I don't think I have ever seen a bar of Hershey's chocolate or a graham cracker but considering eating chocolate originated in Italy, what we  have is even better!

Delicious!

Fashion inspiration for a city chic bride.

Monochrome chic: Alexandra Richards wore a black dress while Rachael Taylor stuck to simple cream

As soon as I saw this stunning Chanel dress worn by Rachael Taylor at the 2011 Victoria Derby day in Melbourne, I thought add the right accessories and it is perfect for a style savvy bride!
How I would style it.

A token bouquet

This outfit is effortlessly elegant, flowers should be kept simple. A small bouquet of fragrant Lilly of the valley would be a flawless choice.
