Happy St Patrick's day!

Today is when people around the world wish they were Irish and celebrate with us St Patrick's day! If you are in Italy today  you will find St. Patrick's Day festivals and entertainment through out the country, especially in the north, and in the Irish pubs! Although some celebrations may be for the 150th Birthday of Italy but as an Irish woman that celebration is overshadowed by Paddy's Day!
Rome holds the Irish Celtic Ball around the time of the 17th March, and you can enjoy visits to Irish pubs, with Irish food and drink, and traditional Irish music and dancing! Just ask the local tourist information wherever you are to guide you to the nearest Irish pub and they will be sure to know what events will be on in the town.

Florence hosts a festival called the 'Festa Irlandese’ which has around 10 days of live music and dancing, together with Irish themed food and drink....
