Very fond memories!

As I prepare to launch our new web site, we have asked all the wonderful photographers to send over some of the photographs from weddings we have worked together on over the years.  Today I received a batch of photos from Edoardo Agresti and was transported back to Megan's wedding, which was such a wonderful wedding, it has brought back very fond memories!

The hard part now, as I look over weddings I have had the honour to organise, is selecting only a few of them for the website!

Thank you Edoardo for sending these photos over to me and I can not wait to see the rest of the photos from this beautiful wedding in Florence and from all the other weddings we have had so much fun working together on. x

Trust your wedding planner when selecting your photographer...

Barbara Perotti Casagrande
I have learnt a lot from our Photographers and I have the deepest respect my wedding  photographers, however when we recommend a photographer it is because they are able to produce the images we think will best reflect the style of the bride and groom.

While the final product is the most important aspect in our decisions when we recommend photographers there are many other aspects that we take in to consideration. We select photographers who are professional, great to work with and understand what is expected of them.  We have worked with many different photographers over the years and have now weeded out the ones who don't fit in to our high expectations and have selected the ones we know produce amazing photographs, who connect with the couple and their guests and are professional but fun to work with.

Edoardo Agresti

Recently a photographer told me  that ''working with a wedding planner is amazing, they are like gold to be connected to. You know you are going to be working with a professional and in a great team.''

As bride and grooms trust their wedding planner 100%,when they receive a list of photographers or videographers they know they are getting the best of the crop. It is as simple as that. Our referral is a very strong referral, it is almost as strong as your best friend saying I used them and loved them they were great!
We always ask for a copy of the dvd of photos, so we can see the final results and make sure that the quality of photographs are perfect. That way we make sure the photographer delivers what they promise to deliver and what was expected of them.

We also only recommend photographers who we respect and return this respect, after all we work as a team and no one wants to work with people who are not team players. Our brides and grooms know when we recommend someone it is because they are the best in every aspect.

When we recommend photographers we give our couples all the information so they can make a decision of the photographer who's work they like the best. They are advised to check out the photographers web site and blog, get  feel for them and if possible meet them. We understand when you are getting married in Italy the idea of finding a wedding photographer is overwhelming, which is why we have composed a list of the best photographers.  We work with photographers all over Italy, the UK, Ireland and the USA, selecting the right photographers to recommend for your wedding day inside your budget.

Once the photographer has been contracted we work very closely with them on the run up to the wedding day. As with all of our suppliers we send out a time line and arrange to meet in the weeks before the wedding to go over the game plan either in person or in that wonderful world of Skype. With photographers we talk about what the bride and groom have in their minds, if there is time to go to a location for a photo shoot before going to the venue for cocktails. We try and keep the photo shoot as short as possible after all it is the couples wedding day and they don't want to hang out with the photographer and the wedding planner, they want to be with their friends and family!

Carlo Carletti

Occasionally we meet photographers that the clients have contracted independently, when it is someone who's work we admire and who's personality and professionalism is to our high standards, we make sure to keep in touch with them and are happy to recommend them to future bride and grooms.

Occasionally we come across photographers who don't meet the standard, whose behaviour is not professional and can put a black cloud over the couples most important day. Those cowboys are the ones we make sure to never work with again. After all we don't work on commission or place mark ups on prices so for us we have only two invested interests in who the client engages as their wedding photographer.... Beautiful photos which show the couple and all our hard work in the best light possible and a happy respectful and professional working environment.

A wedding under the Tuscan sun!

Loro Ciuffenna is not one of the main towns or villages that come to mind when you think of Tuscany. However what is so great  about this town is it is real, not just for tourists but a place where the locals sip spritz in the late afternoon sun and Paulo shouts at Max across the road about the football... The rest of the town is peaceful and sleepy!

Inside this hidden gem are four restaurants all of which are perfect locations for any event surrounding your wedding and extended stay for your guests.

Located a short drive away is one of my favourite villa's for a private Villa destination wedding in Italy. I have pondered if my admiration is because of the love and care that goes in to this villa or if it is more because of the team who run it with such kind hearts... either way it is such a lovely welcoming villa that it feels like a private home, making it a great backdrop for your wedding weekend!
The Villa is so perfect it needs little to no sales pitch, that is why I'm going to focus the photographs on weddings at this beautiful villa...
Villa Belpoggio is a beautiful historical house, located in the Chianti area on the slopes of Pratomagno mountains, making a perfect location for exploring the areas famous towns of Florence and Siena as well as the beautiful countryside and thousands of small Tuscan villages and towns.

The garden with its panoramic swimming-pool and the landscape all around the Villa offer incredible views over the Chianti hills. Mix the ambiance with genuine Tuscan hospitality you and your guests will be left with unforgettable memories of this beautiful Villa.

Offering a sense of formality however at the same time remaining informal and welcoming, this small charming boutique villa hotel has retained the feeling of a private home.

There are 2  beautiful town halls, both located in historical towns less than 20 mins away, that are laden with character and the perfect setting for a romantic Italian civil wedding.

Kate and Pete were married in a very simple ceremony the day before their religious blessing

Catholic weddings
For more photos of Kate and Peters wedding please click this link
There are 4 different churches in the local area where you can celebrate your marriage with a Catholic mass. The local priest speaks fluent English and is a lovely man who makes your wedding celebration very special.
Joanne and Dave celebrated their wedding in a medieval church set in the olive groves less than 2 miles from the villa.
Other religious weddings may be celebrated in the Chapel on site or in the garden. Unfortunately Catholic weddings may not be celebrated here because it is a private Church and only the Catholic wedding of a family member can be celebrated here.

Luckily the Chaplin from Florence is happy to come out and celebrate Church of England and Church of America weddings.

Outside catering is required and we have wonderful catering companies to cater for every budget. They take care of your every need and your guests will be raving about the fabulous dishes that they ate at your wedding in Tuscany!

It is always good to see a happy chef!

For fewer than 40 guests no additional venue charges are applicable however there is a small charge for larger groups.

The accommodation caterers for everyone, there is a junior suite, nine double bedrooms, and two independent apartments. All of the accommodation is comfortable, charming and of the highest standard. Each room has its own private newly refurbished bathroom. Most of the rooms have air conditioning; only three rooms do not have it because of artistic and historical obligation. All rooms have a mini bar -fridge, tea/coffee facilities, direct dial phone, TV, safe. Fine old-fashioned furniture and colours have been chosen and matched with great care. On the top floor, the "Alcova" room, the Terracotta room and the "Rondini" room can be offered as an independent apartment for 6 people with a spacious common living room. Similarly on the first floor of the Villa, the "Camino" room and the junior suite can be offered as an elegant Suite for 5 people. In addition there are two fully equipped independent apartments, with air conditioning, TV, safe, cooking area and bathroom with shower on the grounds. 3 of the rooms are located on the ground floor, and are perfect for your less mobile guests.

Accommodates 28 guests on site but there are additional accommodation in the area including one that is an easy walk away.

How to reach Loro Ciuffenna: We work with a totally reliable bus hire and tour company who we liaise with for any airport transfers, transfers to the town hall or church, any day trips or dinners out which would require transport to and from the restaurant, leaving you and your guests free to relax and enjoy your stay!
Nearby: Visit Castelfranco di Sopra, Laterina, the Setteponti area

Jesse and Erik Wedding in Orvieto

We love working with  Edorado Agresti and his team (captured above by Kelly Hayes , with our lovely hairdresser from London and the bride to be Jesse from the USA.) His photos are stunning and so it is with pleasure I am posting Edoardos interview and photos from ISPWP on Jesse and Erik's wedding in Orvieto.

Client Names: Erik and Jesse
Wedding Date: September 19th, 2009
Ceremony Location: The Old Theatre in Orvieto, Teatro Mancinelli, Orvieto, Italy

Reception Location: A private villa close to Orvieto

Wedding Photographer: Edoardo Agresti, Florence Wedding Photographer

Wedding Description

I took photos at this wedding last September. The couple did not ever realise when I was shooting. My style is photojournalistic and you can see it through my images. No poses – just some formal pictures with friends and parents if the couple want – but candid and spontaneous shots.

There were 30 guests at the wedding which gave it a real intimate atmosphere. They rented 10 old cars, FIAT 500s, in different colours and they drove by themselves. It was funny because these people were used to driving cars with automatic transmissions and it’s not so easy to drive with a manual stick shift, especially on an old car!!!!

For the ceremony location, they chose the old theater of Orvieto (we are in Italy about 2 hours from Florence and 1 hour from Rome), that is located in the center of the town. They got in married in a civil ceremony celebrated by the mayor of the town.

At the beginning it was a bit of a rainy day. As a photojournalistic style photographer I used the rain to catch nice moments with coloured umbrellas, and also as we were walking in the narrow street of Orvieto with guests, parents and friends. In the main square, just in front of the cathedral, they had parked the old 500s. Great pictures.

The weather turned beautiful with a fantastic light. We arrived at the private villa where I continued to shot in a candid way, in the garden, at blue time, with the fantastic effect of the balloons flying in the dark sky.

They did not have any first dance, instead they just enjoyed listening to relaxing music and drinking a good limoncello.

Bride and bridesmaids arrive in the center of Orvieto with a red old Fiat 500. It’s very cool now in Italy to drive this old car!!!!

Out of the theater, a rainy day, and people with umbrellas look to the bride and groom.

We always enjoy working with you and can not recommend you highly enough!
